2012-2013 Officers

Roger is currently in his third year studying Electrical Engineering at UCSD. Having inducted into HKN as a sophomore, he is really excited about the opportunities and experiences that HKN brings into his life. He works part-time as a tutor for the ECE Department and enjoys helping other students. During his free time, Roger likes to catch up with "The Big Bang Theory", "How I Met Your Mother", socialize with friends, and participate in various engineering projects / challenges.

Wilson is a 3rd year Computer Engineering major. Despite this, he sometimes falls behind in keeping up with technology. He enjoys programming and is mainly interested in machine learning and software development. When he is not programming, Wilson can be found hanging out with his friends, playing the piano, playing badminton, embracing his more artistic side in photoshop, and complaining.

Miles is a third year Electrical Engineering student. He enjoys learning as much as he can about the field of electronics, and especially the science that makes it all work. He also enjoys tutoring others in hopes of helping them better understand subjects that he finds so interesting. In his free time, Miles likes to play music, hang out with friends, and watch TV shows about drug dealers.

Bryan is a 4th year Computer Science major who wants to batter down the divide between the real and virtual worlds. When not working on school work, Augmented Reality, or figuring out where he will be next year he is the secretary for the RPG Club, reading The Beginning of Infinity, and hanging out with friends.

Ben is a 4th year Computer Science major, and he's way into distributed software systems but he also thinks that architecture is pretty sweet. He fills his free time with rock climbing, salsa dancing, board games and tutoring. When it comes to editors, Ben always chooses VIM.

Judy is a 3rd year Computer Science major. She likes learning about computers and their infinite applications and functionalities. When she is free from schoolwork, she enjoys drawing, tampering with graphic design, reading the occasion novel, listening to music, and socializing with friends. She doesn’t mind a mess, so ceramics and woodshop are fun discoveries for her.

Derek is a 3rd year Computer Engineering major fascinated by how fast technology moves. Ever improving software combined with ever smaller and affordable hardware costs, put simply, make the unfeasible feasible. He seeks an understanding of how such perpetual improvements continue year after year, and desires to help others do the same. In the mean time, he gets a kick out of tweaking computer hardware to perform as desired, whether that involves upgrading, undervolting, or overclocking.

Ryan Mast is a Computer Engineering graduate student with an interest in Embedded Systems and Computer Security. When not busy with schoolwork he enjoys games, ice skating, and reading.

Derek is currently in his third year studying NanoEngineering at UCSD. He was inducted in his second year at UCSD and is looking forward to his first year as a board member. He is currently working with the Meng Research Group at the Laboratory for Energy Storage and Conversion. In his free time, Derek likes to play basketball and other awesome things.

Alexander Corelli is an Electrical Engineering graduate student focusing on Signal and Image Processing. Corelli also has strong interest in computer vision and digital communication technology. When he isn't studying for his classes, or helping tutor his fellow students, Corelli likes to cook, hike, read political intrigue novels, watch television, and play computer games.

Sean is a fourth year Computer Engineering student that enjoys partaking in slow web development, and using kittens as image placeholders when people don't send him images in time. He's also too cool for more biography.
